A rumour suggesting that EA will not release the upcoming Madden NFL installment for the Nintendo GameCube hit the web earlier this week. The rumour was based on the fact that the new Madden NFL game was listed in the online GameStop catalogue for all consoles except for the Nintendo GameCube.

Cube-Europe contacted EA today to check out he facts, and we are happy to announce that the company told us Madden NFL 2005 will be released for the GameCube. This is what the EA representive we spoke to had to say: "The next Madden NFL installment is still in development for the Nintendo GameCube".

We will have more on Madden NFL 2005 for the Nintendo GameCube as its release draws nearer. Expect an official announcement of the game by EA in the near future.
