Warren Jenson, EA's chief financial officer, delivered the company's predictions for hardware and software sales for this year.
EA believes, that the GameCube and the Xbox will sell more in North America, while the Playstation 2 will perform better in Europe.
They expect the Playstation 2 to sell between 6.5 and 7.5 million units in North America and between 7 and 8 million units in Europe. For the Xbox the numbers are 3 to 3.5 million units in North America and 2 million units in Europe. As for the GameCube they expect it to sell 2.5 to 3 million units in North America and 1 to 1.5 million units in Europe.
It's a pity to see that EA don't expect the cube to sell more, as many kicking-ash games are coming out exclusively for the GameCube. Let's hope this will not affect their releases for our console.
