Bionicle Heroes (Wii)

News: Eidos Announces Bionicle Heroes

A new game starring the Lego warriors is heading to the DS and Cube... well, in America anyway. Details inside!

Well-known publishers Eidos Interactive and TT Games, the makers of Lego Star Wars, have today confirmed a new Lego adventure - Bionicle Heroes, set for release this Autumn on PS2, PC, GBA, DS and GameCube - though the Cube version will only be available in America.

The title will apparently bring to life the most powerful and exciting Lego characters ever seen in one game, in an action-packed world of adventure and discovery. Take control of a young hero as he steps out of the real world and into the strange and dangerous universe of Bionicle. Only by mastering the powers and special abilities of the greatest Bionicle heroes will he be able to overcome the many challenges ahead.

"2006 is a huge year for Bionicle. We are providing strong levels of support for the brand in 2006 and we are excited that the same winning team behind the success of Lego Star Wars: The Video Game is making the official Bionicle videogame," Said Jay Bruns, Director of Global Partnerships and Alliances for LEGO Group. He added that "with such a pedigree of highly entertaining and engaging titles for young gamers, we are really looking forward to seeing the Bionicle range bought to life in an immensely fun and immersive experience, both for our core Bionicle fans and for those new to the universe."

No reason was given for the Cube version of the game not coming to Europe or Australia. We'll bring you more when we get it.
