Eidos spy some easy profits in the casual market...
Eidos have revealed a new publishing label called SoGoPlay with the sole intention of using it's brand to release casual games. Eidos have obviously seen the massive opportunity and the potential to make profit in the fast growing "Casual Gaming" market. The initial plan is to release PC games for download, before branching out to PS2 and Wii later in the year, perhaps we could see such games available for download through the Wii Shop Channel?
Lou Fawcett Head of Eidos' casual games division had this to say, "It's not just PC games that we're focusing on, it's also console and mobile games that have a broad appeal. We're aiming to establish SoGoPlay as the flagship casual games brand."
Good news if your one of the millions of the casual gamers, enticed by the Wii and looking for your next more laid back casual release.
