Having already worked on most of Nintendo's consoles Engine Software have decided to work for the Nintendo DS as well.
Engine Software have developed games for the Super Nintendo, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance and GameCube, so it isn't surprising that they are to develop for the Nintendo DS as well.
Engine Software receiving development kits for the Nintendo DS ties in nicely with the ten year relationship between Nintendo and Engine Software. Speaking of the issue the Head of Development, Ruud van Moosdijk, said the following: "Personally I am very glad to have expanded our relationship with Nintendo once again. No matter how long you work with Nintendo they keep amazing you with new innovative ideas which simply result in an explosion of inspiration. I am confident that the DS will bring new enjoyment to developers and consumers alike. "
While no game projects have been announced they will be rewriting their popular GBA Music Replayer Library for the Nintendo DS.
