Nintendo has announced the English names of Pokémon Black & White's starter Pokémon.

If you're hungry for a bit of localised Pokémon news then you only need to wait a few more hours. The official Pokémon website currently has a teaser image stating that new Pokémon will be released today.

Anyone who followed the release of Black & White in Japan will know that the silhouettes shown belong to the starter Pokémon, known as Tsutarja, Pokabu and Mijumaru in Japan. Stay tuned to N-Europe and our affiliate Serebii.net for full details when the names are announced.

The official English names of the three starter Pokémon are:

Shivy, Tepig and Oshawott.
