The rather snide lord of Epic Games has made claims that the Wii is 'backwards' and like a virus.

Epic Games haven't really made a secret of their hatred for Nintendo and the Wii. Comments in the past from the developers of Gears of War have suggested that they will never develop for the console due to its graphics in comparison to Sony's and Microsoft's offerings, and its motion controls. In a newer interview, Epic president Mike Capps had this to say in response to a question asking for his views on the Wii.

"It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. Obviously there's a class of people who really love it and enjoy it and are getting into the games but I'm still waiting for that one game that makes me play it. Who knows, maybe Wii Fit will be it."

Mike went on to say that Epic are moving forwards, not backwards by investing in next-generation consoles such as the Xbox 360. Last time we checked, the Wii was moving forwards...
