Heads-up on some downtime for the 3DS eShop later this week...

The UK eShop has been updated with an announcement of some down-time later this week.

The notification does not elaborate any further than 'maintenance', but the service is only due to be down for a few hours on Thursday night:

"Due to maintenance, the Nintendo eShop will be temporarily unavailable from 19:00 GMT (21:00 CEST) on 25 August 2011 until 01:00 GMT (03:00 CEST) on 26 August 2011"

If you're outside the UK, we advise you to check your respective eShop bulletins to see if this down-time will affect you. Annoyingly, it is scheduled on the day a new batch of software is due to hit the store, including the Game Boy classic Gargoyle's Quest.
