News: Eternity's Child Moves To WiiWare

Luc Benard's bizarre fairytale game has been moved from a disc release to WiiWare.

Eternity's Child is a platforming game created by artist Luc Benard for the Wii. The game's strange storyline revolves around Angel, an orphan who had his wings removed to protect him from being murdered in a world dominated by evil land animals and robots. The game follows the adventures of Angel after he escapes from the orphanage to find his own kind. A second game in the Eternity's Child franchise is also planned for the Nintendo DS.

It has been revealed today that Luc Benard has moved the project to Nintendo's downloadable service, WiiWare. This is an interesting move, as the game was originally cancelled on the Xbox Live Arcade due to file size constraints. We'd imagine trying to fit Eternity's Child into the Wii's internal memory would be the equivalent of attempting to cram Michelle McManus into a matchbox.

Eternity's Child will be released at some point in Q2 2008 for $5 (500 Wii Points). Stick with N-Europe for the latest on Eternity's Child.
