Luc Bernard is considering bringing his artistic platformer over to the Steam platform in addition to WiiWare.
Eternity's Child is a gothic fantasy platformer developed by Luc Bernard for Nintendo's new WiiWare platform. You take control of a young angel who has lost his wings, and must journey through the living fairytale world of Eternity's Child to find his own kin.
In Luc's latest blog, however, he admits that he has been pondering about whether to release Eternity's Child on the PC via Steam and on the PS3 (via the PlayStation Store), in addition to a WiiWare release. Luc didn't cite a reason for wanting to release Eternity's Child on a second and potentially third platform (apart from being able to add in high definition graphics).
We've contacted Luc for further information on this new development, so stick around for more information. Do you think Eternity's Child should see a Steam and/or PSN release in addition to WiiWare, or should it stay Wii exclusive? Post your comments below...
UPDATE!Luc has responded to us with some insight into his choice to take Eternity's Child to other platforms. Although the unique downloadable title could be going multiplatform, it seems that he would still view the WiiWare game as the best iteration. "Well it's as simple as this, no one paid us to have Eternity's Child as exclusive to Wii, so why wouldn't I also offer it to other players? Of course both of those platforms won't offer the same experience, so the Wii would still remain the best, because of the gameplay and using the Wiimote to aim."
