News: Europe To Get Free DSi Points

Europe gets some DSiWare loving!

Japan got 1000 DSiWare points for free when they first got their hands on the newly released Nintendo DSi, and only a few days ago Australia and the US got confirmation that they would be getting the same treatment. Now, N-Europe can confirm that Europeans too are in for the same sweet surprise when the DSi launches next Friday.

Connecting to the DSiWare store for the first time, players will be given 1000 free DSiWare points to get them started. So far Nintendo haven't stated when this promotion will expire, though in America it's currently set for October, which may very well be the same case for Europe.

With a free Opera browser, Moving Memo Pad and now 1000 points to spend on the new DSiWare service, gamers will have everything to get them started with their new handheld. There has yet to be confirmation that the DSiWare will launch along with the DSi in Europe next Friday, though with free points upon entering the store and the US having the service launched from the word go, things are looking good.
