Nintendo of Europe confirms the DS price-drop, and reveals two new bundles which will hit the shelves next month!

Confirming previous rumours, from October 7, we can reveal the Nintendo DS will be available at �89.99/�129.99. The �10/�20 price drop will take effect on the same day as the launch of Nintendogs, which has become a cultural phenomenon and a sales leader in Japan and North America.

Also on this date, two new DS/Nintendogs bundles will go on sale - retailing at around �99.99, offering great value for money. The new Pink DS colour will be bundled with the Dachshund version of the game, while the Labrador version is bundled with the new Blue DS colour.

Nintendo also confirmed a couple of sales figures for the DS. In Europe the console sold one million in under three months, and by the end of June 2005, worldwide sales had reached 6.65 million. Nintendogs meanwhile has sold over 1.5 million copies to date in Japan and North America.
