Nintendo confirm the Lite's launch in Europe - learn the launch date, price and colours inside!

It has been made official - the new incarnation of the DS will hit Europe on June 23rd 2006. Unlike in some other territories, the title will be available in two colours from launch � the cool, stylish Crystal White, as well as an sleek black (which will be an exclusive to Europe)!

Both lighter and brighter than the original version of the DS (which has sold more than 4 million units across Europe and 16 million worldwide) Nintendo have said the Lite will join the DS range as a 'premium' alternative to the current model, and will retail at the estimated price of �99.99 and �149.99.
