News: Everyone&#39s Pokémon Ranch Details

The WiiWare Poké-storage title gets a new name, a slight makeover and some extra details.

Pokémon Farm was one of the first WiiWare titles announced in October, revealed to be a storage system which allowed you to upload your Pokémon from Diamond and Pearl and then care for them/take pictures of them/ride them on the titular farm. Today, with the launch of the game's Japanese website, we have some new details for you.

The game has now been renamed Everyone's Pokémon Ranch, possibly cementing itself as something of an application (like Pokémon Box, or the Everybody Votes/Everybody's Nintendo Channels which share similar names). DS/Wii Connectivity is mentioned again - upload up to 1000 'mon from Diamond and Pearl, and then sort them on the ranch.

You can also interact with your Pokémon in activities such as gathering around a campfire, and take pictures of your Mii with your Pokémon (the pictures can then be saved to an SD card or sent to the Wii Message Board, ready for Photo Channel editing or sending to your pals). And the final, rather pointless, bit of information is that Yukari owns the ranch. Yukari is the sister of Bebe, the storage woman from Diamond and Pearl (the equivalent of Bill from the older Pokémon games).

Check out the official Japanese site for some pictures. It appears that the visuals have seen a slight update, whilst still retaining the cute chibi style seen in previous screenshots and videos.
