Activision have announced that the Smashing Pumpkins have recorded an exclusive track to be offered as downloadable content for Guitar Hero World Tour.
Activision have today revealed that the Smashing Pumpkins will be offering a new exclusive single as downloadable content for Guitar Hero World Tour before it sees a release at retail or on online stores such as iTunes.
The release of "G.L.O.W." as downloadable content marks the first time a band has exclusively recorded a song for the Guitar Hero franchise; the new single will be available as a three-song pack, bundled with "1979" and "The Everlasting Glaze", and will be offered as downloadable content shortly after the launch of World Tour.
Singer, songwriter and lead guitarist of the Smashing Pumpkins Billy Corgan will also be available as an in-game character. "Today", from the Pumpkins' four-times platinum 1993 album Siamese Dream, will be available from the get-go with the retail release of World Tour.
Guitar Hero World Tour will be rocking on to the Wii on November 7th in Europe.
