News: F-Zero GC details

More hot details on the sequel to F-Zero X. Amusement Vision are on for a sure-fire winner.

If gaming bible Dorimaga is to believed (and we think you should), the final version of F-Zero on GameCube is set to feature a multiplayer split-screen mode, enabling four gamers to battle simultaneously! As we have previously reported, F-Zero GC will be presented at the next World Hobby Fair in Japan. Amusement Vision confirm that only two-players will be pitted against each other in this preview-edition in comparison to the final code.

F-Zero on GameCube should approach more the play style of Super Nintendo F-Zero rather than the Nintendo 64 version. Hardcore Nintendudes often mooted the 'speed' of the SNES game the reason why it retained superiority over its counterparts. You could pull in more than 2000 km/h in the SNES incarnation which lit our pulses. Nice to see Sega Amusement Vision preserving the purity of such a valued franchise.
