UK publisher Codemasters has announced its 2011 iteration of the official Formula One video game will be releasing on Nintendo's 3DS.

Its F1 2009 did good business on Wii and PSP, especially in the UK, but the publisher made no secret about focussing development and marketing resources on last year's F1 2010 for Xbox 360 and PS3. Like its prequels, F1 2011 will be developed with Codemasters' EGO Engine.

F1 2011 is scheduled to release on 3DS, PS3, Xbox 360 and Sony's PSP successor at the tail-end of this year.
