Sadly, the USA division of Factor 5 has closed down. However, the Germany division will be announcing new games shortly...

Due to the unfortunate closure of Brash Entertainment, who were working with Factor 5 on a Superman game, the Factor 5 offices in California have had to close down. The poor sales of Lair, which is the company's only game since Star Wars: Rebel Strike in 2003 probably hasn't helped out the situation.

While the loss of such talent is a large blow to the industry, Factor 5 GmbH, a separate division of the company based in Germany, is unaffected by the closure of Factor 5 Inc. They have partnered with both "old and new friends" and will be announcing some new projects in the next few months.

As Nintendo and Factor 5 were very close during the GameCube's life, we can still remain hopeful about those persistant rumours about Factor 5 developing a Wii game.
