News: Famitsu Review Scores

Advance Wars DS, among others, is scored in the latest Famitsu...

Famitsu, Japan's largest gaming publication, has released their latest batch of review scores. This time, the games include the hotly anticipated DS title, Famicom Wars DS (known as the Advance Wars series in the west), charming Gamecube "indie" title Chibi Robo as well as cult Konami favorite Goemon's latest adventure Ganbare Goemon: Toukai Douchuu for the DS.

Famitsu is generally regarded to be very tough with their reviews as they employ a four person review system, whereby the gaming tastes of the selected reviewers often differ greatly. Nevertheless, apparently all four reviewers tasked to cover Chibi Robo walked away duly impressed as the game recieved a robust 35/40. Famicom Wars DS itself proved to be another fun and furious tactical campaign, scoring 34/40. Goemon however did not fare quite as well, finishing with a solid-but-not-great 27/40.

Rounding out the scores for games on Nintendo systems was Sega's Kouchuu Ouja: Mushi King, a game basically centered around collecting insects (it is adapted from a popular children's anime license in Japan and should prove to be quite the force among that crowd.)
