Activision are keen to incorporate music into their video game tie-in of the upcoming Fantastic Four film, by signing up four bands to make music for each of the main characters.
Activision have signed up four bands to compose music for each of the Fantastic Four game characters. Each band has been chosen to reflect the superhero they are composing music for. The songs will be available in the game's unlockable bonus content.
Each song was created using in-game footage, to make music video-like trailers to promote the game when it is launched in the summer. A full breakdown of the bands and songs can be found below.
Mr. Fantastic (Reed Richards)
Artist: Taking Back Sunday
Song Title: Error Operator
The Thing (Ben Grimm)
Artist: Jurassic 5
Song Title: Clobberin' Time
The Human Torch (Johnny Storm)
Artist: The Explosion
Song Title: I'm on Fire
Invisible Woman (Sue Richards)
Artist: Go Betty Go
Song Title: Everywhere
As well as the titles listed about Activision hope to use John Ottman's scores which have been created for the film. "We've been working closely with Dave Jordan, the film's music supervisor," says Tim Riley, worldwide executive of music at Activision. "We'll probably use the title track in the game and other original music by composer John Ottman."
