EA announces the Cover Fighter and Spokesperson for Fight Night 2!That's right, fight fans, EA Sports have let it be known that the "Official" fighter for the cover of Fight Night 2 will be none other than... Bernard Hopkins!

For those of you who just scratched their heads and said "Bernard Who?" it is the pleausre of this reporter to tell you that Bernard Hopkins is currently the World Middleweight Boxing Champion!

The fighter, nicknamed "The Executioner" for his impressive record of 32 Knockouts in 49 fights had the following to say:

"It's great to be immortalized in an EA SPORTS video game and even a greater honor to be an EA SPORTS cover athlete for the most realistic boxing game ever created. Being a fan of the series, Fight Night Round 2 really captures the intensity and excitement of the sport, but without the pain."

We don't for a minute doubt that Mr Hopkins plays a lot of games too, as he is obviously a big fan of the series! The next iteration is due out sometime early next year.
