A recent ad for the anticipated RPG bears the friendly Wi-Fi Network logo.

GoNintendo is reporting on an ad found in the latest issue of NOA's official magazine Nintendo Power. The ad depicts Final Fantasy III's four protagonists gathered around a crystal (art from the game's character designer Akihiko Yoshida). The Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection logo peeks out happily from a tab on the left side.

Although Square-Enix had originally pledged to craft the remake around all of the DS' strengths, it is nice to have the functionality such confirmed - even if it remains to be seen the extent that WiFi compatibility will entail within the game. (Perhaps the feature will simply encompass basic trading of items and artwork.) Look forward to more details on this exciting project as the game nears its fall release later this year.
