You didn't think it was just the Mushroom Kingdom that were allowed to join in, did you? Square Enix have revealed some extra characters for Mario Hoops...

Square-Enix have updated the Mario Hoops 3-on-3 site with confirmation of some suprising news. More characters have been revealed as playable - Ninja, White Mage, Black Mage, Moogle, and Cactuar. Like the Mushroom Kingdom entrants, each has their own Final Fantasy inspired special move as well - Black Mage casts Meteor, Moogle performs a Moogle Dance, White Mage casts Holy, and Cactuar casts 1000 Needles.

The addition of characters from another gaming world will no doubt truly make this title unique - and with more characters yet to be unveiled, who knows who else will pop up? We could certainly make a list of who we'd like to see... *cough*Sephiroth*cough*
