Final Fantasy fans rejoice! Spin-off RPG The 4 Heroes of Light receives a confirmed North American/European release...

Believe it or not, Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light is actually the first original game (not counting spin-offs) in the franchise to release exclusively on Nintendo DS. The RPG described by produces as "a classic fantasy RPG using today's technology", the game released in Japan late last year to mild commercial success and met praise for evoking memories of past classics.

Almost surprisingly, Square-Enix has announced that they are to localise the title for a North American and European release this October, making for one speedy translation totalling under twelve months.
