Courtesy of Famitsu, we have the first scanned screenshots of the upcoming DS Mana title, and it's looking rather good...

A brand new game in the Mana series for the DS, this game is part of the World of Mana project that also includes a console game (likely headed for the PS2). The game's 2D graphics are shaping up, and the anime-style cut-scenes are looking awesome.

The game is currently headed for a release this time next year in Japan, so don't expect it to hit Western shores for a while. Something to look forward to though.
