UK 3DS owners can get their first taste of Sky 3D content via Nintendo Video...

If you own a 3DS, but haven't been paying much attention to Nintendo Video, now might be the time to renew your interest in the service, because the first content from Sky 3D has been made available to UK users.

It's nothing ground-breaking just yet - the video available is a trailer for Meerkats 3D, a new programme set to start on Sky 3D later this month. The trailer can obviously be watched in autostereoscopic 3D, and will be viewable on Nintendo Video until next Wednesday.

The partnership between Nintendo and Sky for 3D short-form content was announced shortly before the 3DS' launch this year. It's taken a while for the content to come through, but it is perhaps a wonder the partnership help up at all, given the badly-informed smear campaign posed against the system after its launch by the News Corp-owned Sun newspaper.

Further 3D content from Eurosport and Aardman Animations is also due on 3DS soon.
