News: First Wii Games Reviewed

Nintendo magazine NGamer have reviewed two Wii titles already! Click inside to see how they rated Red Steel and Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz!

In the magazine issue dated November 3rd, NGamer (previously NGC, previously N64 magazine, previously SuperPlay) have given two Wii titles final review scores - making it the first publication worldwide to do so already.

The two titles reviewed will likely be among the most popular third-party games available at launch, and it is interesting to see how they scored. Ubisoft's samurai sword-slashing shoot-em-up Red Steel managed to net an outstanding 90%, with NGamer saying that it was "an important title."

"So many launch titles falsely claim to be 'pick up and play'. Newcomers can pick up and 'do', certainly, but this offers a proper playing experience. If you want to see what your Wii can really do, Red Steel is a slice above the rest."

"Not only making excellent use of the Wii's controllers, this is huge fun in its own right. For a launch title to get so much right is an indicator of great things to come."

Meanwhile Sega's latest Super Monkey Ball title proved to also be worth picking up, with a very respectable percentage of 84% awarded. "Banana Blitz delivers a riotous amount of fun and proves Wii really is something special [...] A proper return to form for the monkeys and a party game showcase that deserves to be on everyone's Wii launch shopping list. Impressively solid, hugely entertaining."

So many Wii games to pre-order, so little time!
