Europe's new marketing boss has been named as Laurent Fischer, who has taken over the job after Jim Merrick left last month.
Fischer is now the senior marketing director for Nintendo Europe, having previously been the marketing director for Nintendo France, where he oversaw the French launch of the Game Boy Color, Advance and SP.
"Nintendo is moving into a very exciting and innovative time as we expand the definition of gaming and broaden the population of video games players," he said. "I am looking forward to the new challenge of working for Nintendo at a European level in this particularly significant period."
In other new appointment news, Achim Schmauss has just been made the new European brand manager. He'll be responsible for the release of Twilight Princess at some point later this year, as well as the marketing for the Revolution, "which launches in 2006," he said, confirming Nintendo's 2006 worldwide-release strategy.
Revo-Europe wishes both men the very best of luck in their new jobs!
