Nintendo has sold over five million DS units worldwide, that is one hell of a lot of screens being watched!

Nintendo of America have today announced that the DS surpassed the five million unit mark during March. Nintendo had previously predicted that the DS would reach sales of between five and six million worldwide during March, and are currently "on track" with that target.

With five million having already sold and the recent release of Nintendogs in Japan proving to be such a success I wonder how long it will be before Nintendo reach ten million units.
