News: "Five More Years," - Ubisoft Montreal Boss

Boss hopes Ubisoft can be second biggest third party publisher in just five more years.

Five More Years, bellows Yannis Mallet. The Boss of Ubisoft Montreal firmly believes that they can be the second biggest third party publisher in as little as half a decade.

Founded in 1997, and with over a thousand members of staff, the studio have hit the big-time producing titles in both the Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell series. Earlier this year, they clashed with EA over staff hirings, but Mallet has played down any problems. They are merely just 'differences', he says.

Ubisoft Montreal have firm plans for the future and are clear in which direction they plan to go: "We are going to keep our winning strategy, which is to put our creativity and innovation at the heart of our creations - making good quality games which surprise the market and consumers. We have a reputation for quality and this Ubisoft seal of innovation and quality is the key, definitely, to accessing consumers
"Our strategy objective is to be the number two publisher within five years," he added.

We wish Ubisoft Montreal the best of luck in the future, and we hope that they can achieve their goal. Just keep producing Wii games, and we'll all be happy.
