The Flame Red 3DS will be available in Australia and New Zealand from September 22nd.

The Flame Red 3DS will be making its way to New Zealand and Australia before the month is out. Nintendo said:

Nintendo announces that from 22 September, Nintendo 3DS� will be available in a new colour � Flame Red. Flame Red will join already released colours Aqua Blue and Cosmos Black. Nintendo 3DS is priced at $AU249.95* and offers 3D gaming without the need for special glasses.

There's still no announcement of the rather stunning Flame Red 3DS in Europe but this is a good indication that we will also be getting the red hot handheld some time soon.
