The Mario and Dragon Quest universes collide in Boom Street, coming early next year...
Nintendo has announced the European release for Boom Street - the Wii game formerly known as Fortune Street.
Boom Street is the latest iteration of the long-running Itadaki Street series. The basic aim is to play the interactive board game and make as much cash as you can through a mixture of property acquisition and property investment. Think of it as a video game version of Monopoly, but with characters from the Mario and Dragon Quest universes.

Boom Street can be played by up to four players. Local multiplayer can be played by using just one Wii Remote, or you can challenge players from around the world online.
You can either play as your Mii, or as one of over twenty characters from Nintendo or Square-Enix's flagship franchises, including Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Yoshi, Slime, Platypunk and Stella.
Boom Street releases in Europe on January 6th.
