Sonic 3D, Alien Soldier, Art of Fighting and Samurai Ghost hit the VC. Details inside...

Headlining this week's four re-releases is the Sega Megadrive title Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island. Play as the blue blur in the 3D realm, where he must save the Flickies from Dr. Robotnik's nefarious plans. Dart across seven zones, discover hidden bonus levels and make sure to grab all the gold rings you can find!

Also from the Megadrive is Treasure's shoot 'em up Alien Soldier, a frenetic side-scrolling blaster. As fearsome warrior Epsilon-Eagle, you must use your mighty arsenal to destroy the armies of X-Tiger, and bring peace to planet Sierra.

Next up is a NeoGeo title, Art of Fighting - a conversion of the 1992 coin-op hit which even features characters not previously playable in the arcade original. The title was the first one-on-one beat 'em up to feature a 'spirit gauge', which can be used to unleash powerful special attacks and death-defying 'desperation moves'!

Finally, Samurai-Ghost, a Turbografx title that's a side-scrolling hack 'n' slasher from Namco. The title puts you in the role of undead warrior Kagekiyo on a quest to vanquish the demons and monsters that haunt ancient Japan.
