Nintendo of America's Twitter feed has confirmed that The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords will be launching this month.

Mr. Miyamoto announces The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anni. Ed. as free DL for Nintendo DSi and Nintendo #3DS on 9/28. #3DSConf2011

The game is being made available as a free download to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the series. It was previously only a bonus multiplayer game in the Game Boy Advance version of Link to the Past.

The day after the specified date is a Thursday, when us in Europe usually get our downloads... so fingers crossed.
