News: Fragile Scans & Story Revealed

Bandai-Namco are developing a new RPG for the Wii, entitled Fragile. First details inside.

If you go onto Bandai-Namco's site today, you can check out the teaser page for developer's newest title for the Wii - the previously unannounced Fragile. Apart from it being a role-playing game, there's little more we can discern from the meagre sentences of Japanese text.

The beautiful artwork of a desolate abandoned train station only heightens our intrigue. Apparently more will be being revealed later this month, so stay tuned for more as it breaks. Take a look at the teaser page for yourself right here.

Update: Good news, RPG fans - Famitsu have released screens for the title much sooner than we were expecting, so here's the skinny. The full title for the game is something like Fragile: Ruins of the Farewell Moon, and development is being handled firstly by the team behind Seven/Venus & Braves a Japan-only role-player with a big cult following. Also working on the title is Tri-Crescendo - who RPG fans will be familiar with as co-developers of the Baten Kaitos titles.

Gameplay is set to take place on a future Earth that has "lost its light" - the world's population has suddenly disappeared, with the planet now shrouded in a cold, evil fog. You play as Seto, a boywho travels this moonlight-bathed world hoping to find other human beings, and possibly one special girl in particular. You will only have your trusty flashlight and metal or wood tools, which can serve as weapons. With your flashlight you'll be able to dissipate the fog, and even interact with the environments, solve puzzles, and uncover enemies. There's been no word on the battle system yet, but we'll be bringing you more on this as it gets released - we're getting excited.
