Beleaguered TimeSplitters developers Free Radical will announce their fate on Wednesday. Full details inside.

December was a sad month for British game development as the news broke that Free Radical Design were being forced into administration, with later reports it was up for sale.

The outcome of all this will be announced formally this Wednesday, February 4th, according to Gamesindustry.biz. The studio, also famous for titles Second Sight and Haze has apparently been the subject of "very strong" interest.

Initial attempts from the administrator would be to sell the developer whole, though it is a possibility that technology, brands and other assets could be split among separate buyers.
