Konami's frog has not learnt his lesson even after 30 years as he'll be crossing busy streets again soon.

It is hard to believe that Frogger is older than Mario but Konami's little determined frog first appeared in arcades 30 years ago. To celebrate the anniversary Konami is set to release Frogger 3D for the 3DS.

Frogger 3D will feature over 60 stages to hop across and now you can call upon the help of friends to help you get from one side to the other. The game will feature two modes to really challenge you; Street Pass and Forever mode. In Forever mode you don't have any safety areas so you must continuously hop forward, while in Street Pass mode (seemingly not related to the 3DS StreetPass function) you must avoid zooming traffic along multiple lanes of traffic.

Frogger 3D is due out on the Nintendo 3DS later this year.
