The full version of Opera's Internet Channel for the Wii is now available for you to download... free!

From today, Wii owners can download the full version of the Internet Channel, which replaces the existing Trial Version, and contains many new or upgraded features. To download, simply go to your Wii Options screen and perform a system update, before heading to the Wii Shop Channel to update your existing Internet Channel software if you have the Trial Version already, or download the new Channel entirely if you've not had the browser before.

The updates include a better zoom function, with crisper text when magnified, an updated toolbar at the bottom of the screen which is now hide-able, scrolling has been vastly improved, Google and Yahoo! search functions have been built in, overall loading and response time has been quickened, and the ability to have more than one cursor as the Channel now detects multiple Wii-motes.

The final version of the Internet Channel is available for free download now, but only until the end of June. From July 1st 2007 it will cost 500 Wii Points. Once downloaded, the Internet Channel is free for the lifetime of the system.
