News: Further Famicom For GBA

Nintendo have announced plans to release more NES games in Japan...

After strong sales of their first series, Nintendo have decided that this could be a potential gold mine and have wisely announced another round of Famicom games.

On May 21st 2004, Nintendo will release the 2nd group of games, including some 3rd party titles, coincidently production of the first series will cease on the same day, so expect to see a rise in sales for those games closer to the date.

Expect to find the following titles in your local games store... so long as you're living in Japan, of course;

  • Mario Brothers
  • Clu Clu Land
  • Balloon Fight
  • Wrecking Crew
  • Dr. Mario
  • Dig Dug (Namco)
  • Adventure Island (Takahashi Meijin no Boukenjima Hudson)
  • Ghosts 'n Goblins (Makaimura, Capcom)
  • Stinger (Twinbee, Konami)
  • Mystical Ninja Goemon (Gannbare
  • Goemon! Karakuri Douchu (Konami)

Each title will cost 2000 (approx. $19, 11, and 15!)

Also big news is the fact that the Americans shall be getting their hands on the first series of the "Classic NES Series" in June, so perhaps Europe will get more than a glimpse later this year?
