News: GAME To be Bought By Investment Firm

The troubled high street retailer will be rescued from administration with over 3000 jobs saved...

Days after entering administration and closing hundreds of stores, GAME Group will be bought by UK-based private investment firm OpCapita, according to the BBC

The move will see OpCapita take on around 85 million of GAME's liabilities, but the deal will keep open 333 stores in the UK, safeguarding about 3100 jobs.

OpCapita is also the current owner of electronics retailer Comet.

Meanwhile, GAME's official site has re-opened, and it has announced that it will once again allow customers to redeem their reward points on pre-owned products in-store.
