The GameCube is doing well in Japan and the USA.

Here are the total harware sales figures in the USA:

Xbox 30,000 1,766,000
Gamecube 28,000 1,457,000

As you can see the Xbox is in the lead in the USA. Nintendo has sold 300 000 units less than Microsoft, though the weekly sales are almost the same. Only time will tell what will happen with the hardware sales. With upcoming games like Resident Evil and Final Fantasy for the GameCube, things can only get better for Nintendo.

The GameCube is in the lead in Japan. We already posted these Japanese figures a week ago, but here they are again for the people who were not able to see them last week.

The GC went froms selling an average of 10,000 systems per week to over 12,500 systems the week of March 15 - March 21 while XBox continues to fall below GC slaes. At 10,000 the previous week it has fallen to under 8,000 systems. Good news no doubt.
