Speaking recently in Los Angeles, Shigeru Miyamato has stated that he believes the GameCube sales to be on track, and that they will make their projected sales figures for the fiscal year ending in March.

In Los Angeles, the latest stop on his whirlwind tour and the site of this year's E3, he told journalists Nintendo should still be able to sell 1.9 million units of hardware in Japan and 2.1 million in the US.
