IGN Cube has had reports that preliminary talks about the GameCube's successor have begun. Nintendo has reportedly told studios to prepare for a "spring 2005" launch.

When asked all software houses stated that they have received no official documentation on the next console.

Nintendo has constantly stated that it will not launch the console last, which they did do for GameCube in Europe.
