News: Gameloft To Bring 2 To DSiWare In Europe

Two games for the upcoming DSiWare service have been PEGI rated.

Gameloft, a mobile developer who have made one hell of an impact on the WiiWare service with six titles released to date (and more to come later this year), are officially expanding their operations to Nintendo's upcoming DSiWare service, which is set to launch alongside the new Nintendo DSi console on April 3rd.

A little snooping on the PEGI website on our part reveals that Gameloft are planning to bring two titles to DSiWare in the form of Pop Superstar: Road to Celebrity and Real Football 2009, with the former classified as a Simulation/Life Simulation game, and the latter obviously being a soccer game.

Pop Superstar: Road to Celebrity was previously a mobile game developed by Gameloft which allows you to create a pop sensation in waiting, and lead them through a reality TV show similar to the X Factor to achieve celebrity status. Expect lots of scribbly/shouty singing and dancing, and most likely a cynical virtual doppelganger for one Mr. Simon Cowell.

Real Football 2009, also a game for mobile phones, is your standard footy affair. Pick from over 200 real-life teams to play the beautiful game in 6 different stadiums. The mobile title featured multiplayer via bluetooth, and allowed you to import create, train and import your own team from Real Football Manager Edition 2009. No news on whether either of these features will be present in the DSiWare version.

Both games have been rated 3+ by the PEGI.

Gameloft also plan to release family-favourite Uno on WiiWare and DSiWare later this year. It's looking like we'll get to play these two titles around the DSi's launch period, so stick around for first impressions!
