Support for Nintendo's new home console grows stronger and stronger.
Gearbox Software, a well established third party developer, have pledged support for Nintendo's upcoming console. Known for titles such as Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30, this move bodes well for future gamers and potential Wii owners.
Although no specific announcements were made about which titles would be seeing their way onto the Wii, company president Randy Pitchford explained that they are very much looking forward to seeing what they can come up with, especially with regards to the controller interface.
"Gearbox Software is enthusiastically supporting the Wii," said company president Randy Pitchford. The company head had no comment on what Wii projects it could be working on, saying only that, "At this time, we don't have any announcements to make about specific games we may be developing for Wii." Asked what he thought of Nintendo's new console, Pitchford responded: "I think it's great. I'm very much looking forward to playing."
Earlier in the year, there were rumours of a Brothers in Arms title potentially making its way onto Nintendo's home system, after a Ubisoft release calender allegedly was leaked onto the internet. Whether or not Gearbox are hard at work on a Brothers in Arms title for the Wii remains to be seen.
