The guys of team Xlink have launched XLink Kai: Evolution VII, the global gaming network bringing together the GameCube, Xbox, and PS2 users, in one integrated community. The service offered by Xlink allows gamers to play LAN enabled games to go online for free.

Xlink Kai uses a chatroom-like interface with which two or more GameCubes can be linked together without fooling with IP addresses, and with easy setup.
