News: GHWT Needs 200 Blocks Of Memory

Looks like it's time to empty the fridge again - Guitar Hero World Tour downloadable content/SD card details inside...

With Guitar Hero World Tour arriving next month, Vicarious Visions (who are handling development of the Wii version) have at last revealed details on how the Wii's downloadable content system will work.

Karthik Bala of Vicarious Visions had this to say: "Saving on SD cards is the way to go if you plan on downloading a lot of songs. The Wii system memory is then used as a "content cache." This means you only need to have the free space for one song in the Wii system memory (about 200 blocks) The game automatically transfers the song plays the song, and deletes it when you're done It all happens pretty quickly."

After a few hours of processing this information, the N-Europe supercomputer worked out that a 2GB SD Card will hold around 15,000 blocks of memory and would therefore store 75 downloaded songs. So what do you think? Is 75 songs enough for you Guitar Hero download fantatics? Let us know in the comments section below.
