Longlist voting is now open for the annual Golden Joystick Awards...

Every year, the Golden Joystick Awards commemorate the best games on release as according to popular vote. This year is no different, with the winners being picked wholly by you the public.

The longlists have been revealed, and you can now head on over to the official website to vote for your favourite games of the year to decide which make the shortlists. Longlist voting is open until May 27th, and only games released between May 2009 and May 2010 are eligible.

Last year, Fallout 3 was the big winner, taking home the gong for PC Game of the Year and Ultimate Game of the Year. Notable Nintendo-related titles we'll certainly be rooting for include Wii Sports: Resort, Red Steel 2, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and of course New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
