News: Goldeneye: 007 Enters Chart at #13

Goldeneye: 007 has entered the UK charts at number 13, although it has sold better than Blood Stone.

It has been thirteen years since the original Goldeneye was released for the N64 and its predecessor, Goldeneye: 007 for the Wii, certainly had a lot to live up to. The game was released on Friday and entered the UK charts at number 13.

While some commentators have suggested its a bad sign for the Wii title Activision are quick to point out it has only been out for a few days and is selling well, as we reported a few days ago.

Nintendo Life also note that in spite of its lower-than-anticipated chart position Goldeneye: 007 has sold twice as many units as James Bond 007: Blood Stone has for the Xbox 360, PS3 and DS.

It seems that we'll have to wait until future charts are released to find out exactly how well Goldeneye: 007 copes in the long run.
