News: Gore & More for Europe

Unlike the Japanese version the European Resident Evil 4 will remain as gory as Capcom intended!
The Japanese version of Resident Evil 4 was alerted to be less gory. Most of what was cut were scenes where zombies were shot at point-blank, but no reason has been given. However, Capcom have ensured us that the European version will be just as gory as the American one.
Some bad news for fans of one-off peripherals though, as the Nubytech Chainsaw Controller will not be making its way to the UK. A spokesperson for Capcom commented on the issue, "Capcom has no plans to distribute the Nubytech Chainsaw Controller in the UK at this time."
According to reports Nintendo have already had tabloids complaining about the gore in the game, after the summer's big ill-informed propaganda regarding Manhunt. To make sure Nintendo do not suffer bad press they have issued a statement.
"The chainsaw controller is not a Nintendo product, nor is it licensed by Nintendo. As a company, we have a wide range of consumers, and we publish and distribute a correspondingly wide range of games for all consumer's tastes. Nintendo fully supports and adheres to age rating guidelines and we ensure each one of our products is marketed appropriately."
